OccuMED Exercise Physiology provides active exercise treatment to improve cardiovascular fitness, range of motion, muscular strength and endurance following: - Injury or surgery
- Diagnosis of chronic health conditions
The goal is to return the patient to optimal function at home, at work and in their recreational pursuits.
The active exercise treatment is partially supervised and undertaken at a facility and at times convenient to the patient.
OccuMED's Exercise Physiologists are University qualified allied health professionals accredited with The Australian Association for Exercise and Sports Science (AAESS). Exercise Physiologists specialise in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries.
The exercise treatment developed by OccuMED's Exercise Physiologists consist of an initial assessment, formulation of exercise treatment needs, implementation of the exercise treatment program; at home or at a convenient facility, and ongoing reviews to determine appropriate upgrading of the exercise intervention.
